C.D.Weld Pin used in Insulation Blanket
Introduction
The C.D. weld pin is a capacitor discharge weld insulation fastener, these insulation weld pins work with a stud welding machine, weld the pins on the sheet metal, then put the insulation through the weld pins, press a self locking washer onto the pin, bend over or clip off the pin to finish fastening insulation installation.

Characteristic
1, butt joint: the stress concentration is relatively small, carrying capacity is better.
2, corner joint: low bearing capacity, generally not used alone, mostly used for the corner of the closed structure.
3, lap joint: uneven stress distribution, low bearing capacity, simple preparation and equipment.
Application
Insulation C.D. weld pins have various applications in insulation systems. Here are some specific uses for these fasteners:
HVAC Duct Insulation: Insulation C.D. weld pins are commonly used to secure insulation materials to HVAC ductwork. These pins help prevent the insulation from detaching or shifting due to air pressure or vibrations, ensuring that the ductwork remains properly insulated
Industrial Piping Insulation: Insulation C.D. weld pins are also utilized in industrial piping systems to secure insulation materials to pipes. This helps maintain the thermal efficiency of the system by keeping the insulation intact and preventing heat loss or gain.
Boiler Insulation: In boilers and other heat-generating equipment, insulation C.D. weld pins are employed to secure insulation materials to the metal surfaces. By preventing the insulation from dislodging or shifting, these weld pins ensure efficient heat transfer and prevent energy wastage.
Soundproofing Installations: Insulation C.D. weld pins can be used in soundproofing applications to secure acoustic insulation materials to walls, ceilings, or other surfaces. These pins help maintain the integrity of the soundproofing system, ensuring that the insulation materials effectively block and absorb sound.
In summary, C.D. weld pins are highly versatile and find application in various insulation systems. Their primary purpose is to securely attach insulation materials to metal surfaces, ensuring optimum thermal efficiency, energy conservation, and acoustic performance.
